This instrument was handmade for me by Bill Conklin and Mike Apperson of Conklin Guitars.
Weird. I thought I'd replied to this. I love the bass but honestly there are some cats who just KILL on them!
Well, I'm not going to say I can actually PLAY the beast. LOL
My mind is boggled at the chordal possibilities of 10 strings. Kudos to you sir.
New pics posted, sir!
Awesome can't wait to see more of you arsenal!
I'll see if I can't get some more pics in the account, man, both of the big beast and some of my other beauties. :)
Would love to see more pics of this guy.
Thanks, Dave! The truth is that I went to a 5 string as soon as they started making them (and I could afford one). One of my teachers convinced me I should try a 6 and sold me his. That was the toughest transition I had to make. Going from 6 to 8 took about a day before I was semi-comfortable. The 10 is an awesome beast and I doubt I'll ever really get used to it, but it sure is fun! :D
Awesome! How long did it take to get used to that many strings? Did you work your way up gradually from 5 6 8 string basses?
