Custom Shop Jackson Bass Guitar

Posted on September 12, 2013

This is my custom shop bass that I started using in 2013. It is a Neck Thru bass with a concert series body shape, reverse head stock, hipshot tuners, badass II bridge, Seymour Duncan QP P/J pickups, stacked volume knob. I have 2 of these bad boys that I use on the road. Both are black, with an ebony fretboard, and the Miss May I lion logo on the first fret. I just used these to record the new Miss May I record at Studio X in Seattle with Terry Date.

The knobs are for each pickups volume. The tone is wired wide open on these guys. The reversed headstock was just a way for me to make this bass more my own.

Awesome bass, dig the ebony fret board especially with the custom MMI inlay! What all do you control from the stacked volume knob? Is it volume, highs and lows? Is the reversed head stock for quicker tuning?
