I bought this sight unseen from Craigslist back in 2005. It did not have frets. Near as I can tell, someone took a screwdriver and chipped out all the frets because the neck was bowed. Well, $500 in repairs and a fret job, this is the best bass I own. She is absolutely wonderful. I can play a straight 6 hour set (yes I have) on this and still want more.. I have spoken directly to Modulus and to Goeff Gould about this bass. It seems to not exist. It is probably an employee bass. It features a very early TBX/Quantum type headstock never used on Bassstars. It also is neck through.. The body is poplar (maybe).. The electronics are Bartolini pickups and preamp (9v) but Goeff did not recognize them at all. As far as I can tell, the bridge is original, tuners are original, pickups/electronics are original.
