The Fender Blues Junior is SRV tone in a box. It's a 15-watt, single channel tube combo, with one 12" speaker. Three 12AX7 pre-amp tubes and two EL-84 power tubes provide the punch and grit. There is a "fat" switch which changes the EQ of the pre-amp section a bit to give it less headroom if desired. The master volume lets you dial in a killer tone at a decibel level that won't wake the neighbors. This thing is loud enough to keep up with a drummer, but not if you need a lot of clean headroom. This was my first tube amp and it's one of those things I can't believe I waited so long to do. I love the dynamics, the response and the sag you can only get from tubes. I can't imagine using solid state again.
