Its really hard to describe just what this pedal does, it just makes everything sound better. Another reason I love Ibanez basses is because its one of the few basses that really sound great when you beat the hell out of them. I love the sound I get from this pedal when I compress the hell out of my tone and really pound on the Ibanez. It also "enhances" the mids and highs to stop anything getting muddy
